Event submission policy

Event submissions will be considered within eight (8) days after they are received. Transmasc Seattle may contact event submitter with questions regarding the listing and its alignment with this policy. If the listing is approved, it will be posted within eight (8) days. If it’s declined, the submitter will receive a notification via email.

Transmasc Seattle welcomes and encourages submissions for events that are:

  • Located within the Puget Sound region and/or virtual.

  • Center or include transmasculine, transgender, and/or gender-expansive people, narratives, experiences, and resources.

Examples include virtual support groups for QTBIPOC folks, heritage celebrations, lavender graduations, legal workshops, drag king performances, game watch parties, gallery nights, etc.

Transmasculine Seattle is unlikely to approve event submissions of the following:

  • Events that aren’t intentionally inclusive of trans and gender-expansive people.

  • Events that platform entities that propagate rhetoric and/or misinformation harmful to LGBTQ+-, BIPOC-, disabled-, immigrant-, and/or other historically excluded communities.

  • Events with explicit pro-military, pro-law enforcement, or pro-state of Israel positions. This includes events where firearms will be present.

  • Events by or sponsored by entities actively under workplace strike(s).

  • Events where the relevancy for Transmasc Seattle’s audience is unclear.

Posting an event listing does not denote a sponsorship or endorsement of event content from Transmasc Seattle.
